Ed Giacomin began his 13 year NHL career in 1965 during which time he was named
as an All-Star five times.  Giacomin also won the Vezina trophy in 1972 in Tandem
with Gilles Villemure, for having the league’s lowest goals against average that year. 
He posted a fine 2.82 goals against average for his career and had 54 shutouts in 610
career regular season games.
