This Original "O' Canada" painting portrays 19 Team Canada players dressed for the eighth and final game of the 1972 Summit Series, between Canada and Russia played at the Luchniki Arena in Communist Russia. With the series tied, everything was on the line for both teams. The starting players are shown lined up along the blue line with the Canadian and Russian flags hanging above. After a dramatic game with ups and downs for both teams, Canada’s Paul Henderson scores the game winning goal with just 34 seconds left in the game.
