Remembering Ron Ellis

Remembering Ron Ellis

As June begins and the weather warms up, the buds are on the trees and the plants are beginning to grow… New beginnings.

Soon we will have a new Stanley Cup Champion. This year’s playoffs have been truly exciting.

New hero’s and legends are being made. Yet we must remember a legend of the past, on May 11, 2024 Ron Ellis passed away. We here at Heritage Hockey have known and worked with Ron for over 25 years. Ron was a special man and a very good friend, survived by his wonderful wife Jan and family.

Ron won a Memorial Cup in 1964 with the Toronto Marlboros, a Stanley Cup with Toronto Maple Leafs in 1967, and was an integral part of Team Canada’s victory over the Soviet Union in 1972.

Team Canada 1972 was voted “Canada’s Team of the Century” by the Canadian Press.

May Ron Rest in Peace.
